According to Android Authority, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are Samsung’s latest foldable phones, featuring stronger displays and introducing IPX8 water resistance for the first time in a foldable phone. The Fold models also support S Pen.
Previous rumors suggested that Samsung will launch a new generation of foldable products later in 2022. For now, Samsung has confirmed this on its Q1 2022 earnings call.
IT House understands that Samsung Electronics stakeholders said in the conference call that day: “We are going all out to prepare for the foldable mobile phone to be launched in the second half of the year.” The vice president of Samsung Electronics’ mobile business added: “We hope that in the business scope , launching another important product after the Galaxy S series.”
At the same time, Samsung will also focus on ensuring that the new foldable products are not affected by supply chain issues when they come to market. “We will be ready for the new foldable product, ensuring a seamless supply of key components, fully capturing market opportunities and maximizing sales from launch.”
