At present, in the domestic hearing aid market, domestic brands are encountering the monopoly of foreign brands and are constantly seeking to break through. Chen Fei, founder of ZhiTing Technology, believes that the hearing aid industry has reached an inflection point, mainly due to two reasons:

On the one hand, from the perspective of market demand, the total number of hearing impaired people in my country is about 200 million, but according to the relevant statistics of the Center for Disease Control, the penetration rate of hearing aids in my country is about 5%, which is far lower than the penetration rate of over 30% in developed countries such as the United States. The market potential is huge;

On the other hand, from the perspective of technical reserves, hearing aids, as active medical devices, are electronic products. In recent years, the domestic capabilities in the electronics industry supply chain, smart wearable software and hardware development have been rapidly improved, reaching a world-class level, providing material guarantees for the explosive inflection point growth of the hearing aid industry in China.

Although the hearing aid industry has great potential, there are also obvious pain points in the industry – “Those who can hear clearly can’t afford it, and those who can afford it can’t hear clearly”. How to reduce product prices and access thresholds on the basis of ensuring the professionalism of medical rehabilitation has become a breakthrough for hearing aid companies.
