Five-time World Chess Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen of Norway was recently beaten by 19-year-old rookie Hans Moke Niemann, ending a 53-game unbeaten streak. The defending chess world champion quit the tournament after the loss, sparking controversy. His opponent, Niemann, is suspected of cheating , but Niemann himself vehemently denies it, although he admits to cheating in games played online. The cheating allegations lack credible evidence. Well-known coach Jacob Aagaard, who had trained Niemann, sided with Niemann , arguing that Carlsen’s performance after losing games in the past was also terrible, and he was like a urchin who was not used to losing.
