San Francisco Board of Supervisors approves resolution decriminalizing psychedelics , which does not call for immediate changes to criminal justice policy, but instead urges local police to make psychedelics a minimum priority for law enforcement and not dedicate resources to investigations, detentions, arrests Or prosecute LSD users. The resolution also urges city officials to direct California and federal lobbyists to push for the decriminalization of psychedelics in California and across the United States. Recent studies have shown the therapeutic potential of psychedelics for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use disorders, among others.
