Google starts testing ChatGPT-like AI bots

OpenAI’s chat robot ChatGPT has aroused a strong sense of crisis within Google. ChatGPT’s information retrieval capabilities may challenge its search engine business. Google began to develop AI as its top priority. Citing internal documents and sources, CNBC reported that Google began testing an AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT. Dubbed Apprentice Bard, the bot is based on its existing conversational language model, LaMDA. It looks and functions like ChatGPT, the user enters a question and it returns a textual answer. But the difference between Apprentice Bard and ChatGPT is that the former can integrate recent information, while ChatGPT’s training data set deadline is 2021. Google’s internal tests show that it can solve some questions that ChatGPT can’t answer.
