More than one in five infected people have long-term symptoms of the new crown

A CDC study found that more than one in five people under the age of 65 with Covid-19 developed long-term symptoms of Covid-19, including lesions in organs such as the heart, lungs and kidneys. Among those aged 65 and over, the proportion was even higher, at one in four. Across both age groups, COVID-19 patients were twice as likely to develop respiratory symptoms and lung problems as uninfected people, the study found. Patients over the age of 65 were more likely than younger groups to develop kidney failure, neurological disorders and mental health disorders. The study analyzed the records of 353,164 people diagnosed with Covid-19 in the 18 months before the outbreak and compared it with the records of 1.64 million people who were not diagnosed.
