As of the end of May, the national installed capacity of power generation was about 2.42 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was about 340 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%; the installed capacity of solar power generation was about 330 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 24.4%. From January to May, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 1,462 hours, a decrease of 69 hours over the same period of the previous year. Among them, thermal power was 1,720 hours, a decrease of 97 hours compared with the same period of the previous year; nuclear power was 3,081 hours, a decrease of 41 hours compared with the same period of the previous year; and wind power was 976 hours, a decrease of 78 hours compared with the same period of the previous year. From January to May, the power projects of major power generation enterprises in the country completed an investment of 147 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. Among them, solar power generation was 40.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 248.7%. The investment in power grid projects was 126.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.
