Baihetan Hydropower Station is located in the lower reaches of the Jinsha River at the junction of Ningnan County in Sichuan Province and Qiaojia County in Yunnan Province. It is the largest and most technically difficult hydropower project under construction in the world today. A total of 16 units are installed independently developed in my country and have the largest single-unit capacity in the world. One million kilowatts of hydro-generating units, with a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts.
The Three Gorges Group said that after the Baihetan Hydropower Station is fully completed and put into operation, it will become the second largest hydropower station in the world after the Three Gorges Power Station, with an average power generation capacity of 62.443 billion kWh over the years, which can meet the annual domestic electricity demand of about 75 million people. , which can replace about 19.68 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 52 million tons.
