Amazon announces appointment of company executive Herrington as CEO of Amazon Stores worldwide

In the morning news on June 22, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy (Andy Jassy) announced on Tuesday that longtime Amazon executive Doug Herrington (Doug Herrington) will take over as “Worldwide Amazon Store” (Worldwide Amazon Store). Stores) division’s new CEO.

Herrington joined Amazon in 2005 and has been with the company’s senior leadership team, S-team, since 2011. According to Amazon, he started out running the company’s consumer products business, then founded Amazon Fresh in 2007 and started leading the North American consumer business in 2015. Herrington developed and launched several key programs at Amazon, including its popular “mother loyalty program.”

This follows Amazon’s announcement earlier this month that global consumer chief Dave Clark would step down on July 1. Clark then announced that he would join supply chain software startup Flexport in September as the company’s new CEO.
