Citing people familiar with the matter, Politico reported that the U.S. Department of Justice may launch an antitrust lawsuit against Apple. Lawyers for the U.S. Justice Department are drafting an antitrust complaint against Apple, the report said, suggesting that the investigation may be nearing its end and that litigation could happen soon. The Justice Department has been investigating Apple for more than three years since 2019 over allegations that it abused its market position to stifle small tech companies, including app developers and competing hardware makers.
