Blizzard and NetEase cancel development of World of Warcraft mobile game

Blizzard and NetEase canceled the three-year-old World of Warcraft mobile game. NetEase also disbanded its development team of more than 100 people, and only a few people were transferred internally. The cancellation of the project was due to disagreements between the two companies over terms. The Warcraft mobile game project, code-named Neptune, is an MMORPG that takes place in the same universe as World of Warcraft but at a different time. NetEase previously developed the Dark mobile game for Blizzard.
