Buffalo Botanical Garden

After coming to the United States, I have been to three botanical gardens in Buffalo, Chicago and Pittsburgh. Personally, I feel that the Botanical Garden in Buffalo is the best of the three. Its goodness is reflected in the richness of species. Each species is put together by category as much as possible, and each species has only one plant and does not repeat. Chicago has a lot of repetitions and not all categories. Pittsburgh’s emphasis on creativity, combining plants with painting art and butterflies, is not rich in the types of plants alone. Pittsburgh’s victory in the orchid garden, Buffalo’s victory in the desert cactus hall, special introduction.

I visited the Botanical Garden in Buffalo at the beginning of May this year, when spring just arrived.

There is a large grassy field at the entrance, with yellow dandelions and unknown white and blue flowers blooming in pieces. The surrounding residential areas are generally in the south of downtown, and the law and order does not seem to be very good.

There is a grape hyacinth that I like very much at the door, or a color-changing version.

The exterior dome of the botanical garden is a bit halal.

Entering the door is the Asian Hall. After the carp bridge, there are many palm leaves. Among them, this one may be two meters tall, which is taller than a person, and the leaves are also exaggerated.

This is the cactus room I am most satisfied with. It’s very hot in here, like a desert.

There is this kind of plant at the entrance, it looks like a water pipe, and it looks like a snake. It grows everywhere, which is very strange.

In addition to the common cactus, this cactus looks like a ball of cloth sewn, which is very special. Name also image: Volleyball Cactus

These two aloes are like alien creatures, the kind that eat people

These two succulents are different from those sold on the market, and they are simply charming.

There are some really big things, and the furry strip cactus in the back will make you feel dizzy after a long time, like a double image.

There are also plants that grow out of pots and cover the booth….

There’s a box that says succulent, and it’s full of little killers

In addition to the common Venus flytrap and pitcher plants, there are many ferns, most of which have furry leaves, presumably the way to eat meat.

A man-tall orchid at the entrance of the Orchid Hall, like a leopard print

Almost every kind of orchid in this hall lost a picture frame, elegant and high-class

When I turned my head, there were still strange plants on the wall

This flower looks fake

through a waterfall? Curtain-like plant, it seems to be an air pineapple-like thing, its roots are not in the soil, it can live by hanging

The high dome visible from the outside of the botanical garden is also a hall, in order to put some tall plants, such as papaya:

I have never seen such a tall papaya tree in Fujian. There were several papayas on it, one of them was fully ripe and fell to the ground.

There are also some small gardens outside the door. I saw this magical plant, and the flowers bloomed like a row of small hearts.

The souvenir shop also sells some mini potted plants. If it is half the price, maybe I will buy it. It is very cute.

From the botanical garden, you can see a church not far away. We saw that the Google score is not bad, so we walked around.

The appearance is symmetrical, with two arcades extending out, which are side doors. We went in from the main entrance, and there was a waiter at the entrance, saying that the ceremony was about to start, let us quickly visit and leave.

As soon as you enter the door, it feels a little good:

Main hall and two side corridors.

We turned out and walked through the side door and saw the bride was about to enter. No wonder the waiter said “ceremony”, it turned out to be a wedding ceremony.
