Suning recently announced personnel changes: Gong Zhenyu, vice president of Suning Tesco, will also serve as CEO of Carrefour (China), and former CEO Tian Rui will be transferred to vice president of Suning Marketing Headquarters, responsible for store preparation. Tian Rui was born in Suning Electric Appliance and used to be the general manager of Suning Supermarket. This coaching change comes three years after Tian Rui took over as CEO of Suning Carrefour. In September 2019, Suning announced the acquisition of an 80% stake in Carrefour (China). Carrefour China has been incorporated into the Suning FMCG system and will maintain brand and operational independence.
