He said that China Radio and Television is promoting the co-construction and sharing of 5G base stations with China Mobile, and at the same time fully interconnected with China Telecom and China Unicom.
Regarding the development of 5G in China Radio and Television, Song Qizhu said that he will adhere to the customer-centric approach, build a new brand, and create a high-quality service system. In terms of business, based on the large screen, superimpose services such as 5G; in terms of channels, it deploys online and offline channels through its own and cooperative means; adhere to content characteristics and build a video content business cluster with cultural characteristics as its foundation.
He revealed that there are currently 127 mobile phones that support China’s radio and television network, and 95% of new mobile phones can also support it. In addition to mobile phones, it also covers wearable devices, tablets, etc. By the end of September this year, the adaptation and upgrade of 4G and 5G terminals to China’s radio and television network will be fully completed.
