Chen Zhen was a character invented by Ni Kuang, and the plaque for the sick man of East Asia was designed by Ni Kuang. Therefore, no one in China has not seen Ni Kuang’s works. Wesley and Yuan Zhenxia are not all of Ni Kuang’s work.

Yesterday, Ni Kuang passed away. He was born in 1935 and died at the age of 87, which is not considered an early death. He was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and gave up treatment on his own.

In the early interviews, he had already said that I had better die now. At that time, he was less than 80.

Therefore, the people of Sri Lanka have passed away, so there is no need to worry about it. People die when they get old, this is also a law of nature. Someone said yesterday that Cai Lan is the only one left in the four major talents of Xiangjiang, so it is better to eat more lard (Cai Lan likes to eat lard).

I said that Cai Lan was 81, Jin Yong was 94 when he died, and Ni Kuang was 87. These two are much bigger than Cai Lan, only Huang Fei is the same age as Cai Lan, and he was only 63 when he died. Therefore, the age of the four great talents has come, and it is expected that they will wither.

I asked yesterday, Ni Kuang passed away, have you seen his works?

Many people have left messages to have seen “Wesley” and “Yuan Zhenxia”, and some people say that they once mistakenly thought that “Looking for Qin Ji” was Ni Kuang’s work.

Yesterday, there were also people who said that Zang was not the four great talents, some people said that Cai Lan was not qualified and so on, or that Ni Kuang was not enough, and so on. From the mainland audience, Jin Yong is the most well-known, Huang Fei’s “A Laugh in the Sea” has become a classic because of the countless times of “Swordsman”. From the perspective of mainland audiences, Wesley and Yuan Zhenxia are really not loud enough.

What many people don’t know is that the “Four Great Talents” is not purely written in literature. All four have been deeply involved in Hong Kong’s film and television, newspapers and entertainment circles. Needless to say, Jin Yong has run newspapers, novels and martial arts, and has been transformed into countless film and television dramas. Huang Fei will not go into details. In fact, Ni Kuang and Cai Lan have contributed a lot to the entertainment circle in Hong Kong. In mainland China, we always talk about virtue and art. In fact, Hong Kong culture is very civic and very entertaining. The four talents in Hong Kong refer more to the four talents who entertain the public.

In fact, Cai Lan’s current reputation lives in the food field. In fact, Cai Lan was in the film industry in the early days. At the age of 18, Cai Lan studied in the Department of Film Editing and Directing in the Faculty of Arts of Nihon University, and at the same time worked in the Shaw Brothers Film Company, part-time and part-time. Acting as manager and translator in Japan. He settled in Hong Kong in 1963 and served as the production manager of Shaw Brothers for 20 years. Later, Zou Wenhuai established Jiahe Film Company, and invited Cai Lan to be the vice president of the film production department. Movies, and has also produced many more alternative movies (such as “The King of Power”, “Liao Zhai Yan Tan”, “Nanjing Christ”). (1)

A similar phenomenon in mainland China has Ma Weidu. Over the years, everyone has been familiar with Ma Ye because of antiques. He built the first private museum in China himself. He taught cultural relics and antiques in hundreds of forums. In fact, Ma Weidu published his debut novel “The Full Moon Tonight” in 1981. Later, he edited and helped Wang Shuo publish his novel. In particular, Ma Weidu is one of the screenwriters of “Editorial Story” and “Hippocampus Dance Hall”. “The Story of the Editorial Board” had a profound impact on a generation of Chinese people, but many of these stories are not understood by today’s people.

Let’s go back to Ni Kuang, once Ni Kuang passed away, many people who were not familiar with it searched and saw “Wesley” and “Yuan Zhenxia”. In fact, one of the things that Ni Kuang has had the greatest impact on all Chinese people is that he created the character Chen Zhen for the 1972 version of the movie “Fist of the Warriors”. This character is played by Bruce Lee. (2)

In this version, the Japanese presented the “Sick Man of East Asia” plaque to insult Huo Yuanjia’s funeral. Chen Zhen, played by Bruce Lee, challenged the “Hongkou Dojo” of the Japanese martial arts hall alone, and beat the Japanese to the ground with one enemy. “The plaque was returned to promote the Chinese people’s non-weak spirit of not being bullied.

Chen Zhen is indeed a person. This person was listed on Huo Yuanjia’s funeral list in the newspapers that year. However, in the history of film and television, the image of Chen Zhen and the story behind it were completely created and designed by Ni Kuang.

The intention of kicking and breaking the plaque of the sick man of East Asia in front of the Japanese also came from this design.

Later, almost all the film and television works about Huo Yuanjia copied this story. The biggest influence on the mainland is the 1981 version of the TV series “Heroes Huo Yuanjia”, in which Chen Zhen is played by Liang Xiaolong. I grew up watching this version. Every night, as soon as the theme song of “Sleeping for a hundred years, the people of the country have gradually woken up…” sounded, we would sit in front of the TV and watch it honestly.

Liang Xiaolong on the left, Michelle on the right

Starring Liang Xiaolong, is the fire cloud evil spirit who later appeared in Stephen Chow’s movie “Kung Fu”, the years are not forgiving.

Ni Kuang in everyone’s memory now looks like he got fat when he was older. In fact, when he was young, he was quite thin.

He has also made cameos in several movies.

He played Sammo Hung’s father in the movie “Skinny Tiger and Fat Dragon”

In the movie “Quanying Dance”, he made a cameo appearance as a whore, Mr. Ni

In the movie “Yuan Zhenxia and Wesley”, he made a cameo appearance as himself

There is still a story between Ni Kuang and Jin Yong, which many fans of Jin Yong should still remember.

In 1963, Vice-Premier Chen Yi delivered a speech, “If you want to make a nuclear bomb, you should also make a nuclear bomb.” At that time, Jin Yong was still working in Ming Pao and wrote an editorial refuting. Later, because of this incident, Jin Yong was besieged by some media people in Hong Kong. Jin Yong temporarily left Hong Kong. At that time, Ming Pao was serializing “Tian Long Ba Bu”, and Jin Yong asked Ni Kuang to help write it for a few months.

Before leaving, Jin Yong explained that he should not write any characters to death, but Ni Kuang didn’t like the role of Azi very much, so he wrote Azi blind.

A few months later, when Jin Yong returned to Hong Kong, he discovered that the casting was a big mistake, and he would never let Ni Kuang or anyone else ghostwrite it again.
