Computer with wireless remote boot card

Due to some recent special needs, I will use my home computer from time to time. In order to meet the needs, I have to start an unknown remote boot card on a certain sound. It is based on the PCI-E interface. After 2 days of experience, it is not bad. , based on the WeChat applet is also quite convenient, and also supports Xiaoai voice commands.

Since the pictures were taken at night, they are a bit inconspicuous, so you will see it! Only record and talk about the experience here.

Maybe some friends will say why not just buy a smart power strip and set the motherboard BIOS to auto-start after power on? After weighing the pros and cons, I bought this wireless remote boot card. In contrast, it is more secure and reliable. The esp8266-based MCU chip is still very stable. There are many open source firmwares that can implement such functions on Github, but it is more troublesome to connect to the IoT platform. (It should be like this?) I just don’t know how long this small brand’s access platform can support? After all, the day the platform loses support is also the day it eats ashes.

After the installation, because the case itself is quite spicy, I didn’t care about the wiring. I stuffed 2 120mm RGB fans, 1 90mm axial fan, and 1 sapphire RX588 into the small case. , plus 1 HDD solid state drive and 2 500G mechanical hard drives; it can also be installed, and the weight is quite heavy.

In addition to the first time, because the hard disk of Snail Interstellar was not fully inserted, by the way, I also bought a colorful 240G solid-state disk and installed it on the only hard disk SATA interface left on the motherboard; it is used to back up some important data files, such as work Profiles, favorite music, daily photos, and more. Other media resources and resources collected from the network will not be backed up hard. OneDrive and Alibaba Cloud disk soft backup are enough.

The original intention of installing this 240G solid state drive is to use it as a cache disk for Synology, but for some reason, the DSM6.1 system automatically recognizes it as an eSATA external device, and it cannot be used as a local storage. I tried to modify the Synology system file. Many approaches have been unsuccessful. The USB external device is set up successfully according to the tutorial on the Internet, but the eSATA external device is not good? Do you have any friends who know how to do it?

If it wasn’t for the long time to guide the data, I would like to rewrite the boot installation and upgrade the DSM7.1 system, and let’s not talk about other things, it will look good after all!

well! See you later!

wish everybody! Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, all your wishes come true!
