I went to Savannah, a coastal city in southern Georgia, last weekend. This is one of the earliest colonies in the United States, and it preserves many ancient buildings before the American Revolutionary War. Walking along the river street, you can enjoy the cruise ships on the sea and the historic district at your feet. There are many tourists, walking slowly, and the beauty of the streets can be seen everywhere. We went to a century-old shop selling ice cream – Leopold’s. The walls are covered with traces of this old shop and photos of Hollywood stars. Tybee island in the small town had to drive for another 30 minutes. When I saw the people with big bellies lying on the beach, I remembered the days when I lived by the sea in Hong Kong. I missed it less than half a year after I left.
