The world’s highest September temperature was recorded in Death Valley, California: 127°F (or 53°C). The heatwave in Death Valley is expected to continue until Labor Day in the United States (next Monday). The previous record for the highest temperature on Earth in Death Valley was 134°F (57°C) on July 10, 1913, but this recorded measurement is questionable and considered unreliable.
