Recently, I suddenly wanted to re-watch Dragon Ball Z again. As a person who is constantly imagining the universe, the setting of Goku and Piccolo as aliens is right in my heart. However, after reading it, I was very disappointed. I thought that Dragon Ball Z would not collapse, but it really is enough to just watch Dragon Ball.
There are three places in Dragon Ball Z that make me unhappy, even angry and disgusting, and I’ll take it short and long here.
The first is about the character design of Wukong, which is rather thin than simple. When Wukong was a child, he only wanted to become stronger and have no sense of disobedience to the masters, but when he grew up, it was just as boring as before. Although there is a Saiyan setting, Vegeta’s character has a certain complexity. Goku as a kid would make me feel cute, but Goku growing up is not very attractive.
The second is the bug-like setting of Saiyans. After recovering from the dying state, the combat power will be enhanced several times. It may be that the author has drawn too many people with super combat power, and he can’t describe each battle in detail, so he can only make them the ghosts set by the Saiyans. Frieza’s subordinates, who had also played with Vegeta like an ant before, turned into fish meat under Vegeta’s sword in a blink of an eye. All this came so easily, in stark contrast to the hard training in Dragon Ball. The sense of cheapness comes from the surface, making people feel that everything is a child’s play, and it is too much to abuse the aura of the protagonist.
The last is Goku’s appearance in the three battles. This is the most unbearable for me. The same method has been played three times in a row. Is the audience a fool?
The first time was Piccolo and the others against Vegeta and Nappa. Goku was going to rush over from the snake path. When his teammates were almost dead and injured, the savior came and killed Nappa directly.
The second time was when Vegeta and others faced the Ginuit team. Wukong’s spaceship just didn’t land. When his teammates were dying, the savior came and killed the entire Ginuit team in seconds, including Ginyu, who is known as the second in the universe. .
The third time is Piccolo, Vegeta and others confronting Frieza. Goku has been in the sanatorium for treatment. When Vegeta is dying, the savior will come.
The intention of this technique is actually very obvious. On the one hand, it gives Piccolo, Vegeta, Gohan and Krillin a chance to express themselves, and on the other hand, it increases the audience’s expectations for Goku’s appearance, highlighting the difference of the protagonist. However, it is unforgivable for a work to play one method three times in a row. Is there any other reason besides poor skills?
Dragon Ball is still very classic in my heart, but the classic is only Dragon Ball, and the dog tail sequel in the back is not worth watching.
