Recently, I have been tossing and starting the little black dress of Snail Interstellar for more than 2 years. In addition to the smooth upgrade to the latest version of DSM7.1-42661 as mentioned in the previous blog post, in fact, before upgrading this version, I saw a big guy say There are many big pits after the upgrade. Judging from the initial toss and use in the past few days, it is still relatively cool, and there are some pits that have little impact on the scope of use.
What did you do after upgrading to Synology DSM7.1-42661? What pits have appeared? Hope you don’t meet.
1. The Colorful 120G solid-state drive used in the Snail Interstellar upgrade and replacement boot was removed. After removal, the U disk boot, reboot, shutdown and other operations will not be affected.
2. The 2.5-inch mechanical hard disk is inserted into the USB port of Interstellar Snail, with a capacity of 465.75GB; it is used to run the network core cloud, and the 40M upload bandwidth has not yet seen any profit, which may be pitiful.
3. By the way, I cleaned up the dust inside the Snail Interstellar, and removed the built-in 16G mSATA solid state disk (it was useless), and then inserted the USB boot U disk into the USB port inside the motherboard.
4. It takes about 12 hours to restore important data backed up from OneDrive.
5. Video Station adds Douban video information search plug-in, Audio Station adds NetEase Cloud, QQ Music lyrics search plug-in.
6. Patch Synology Photos with face recognition and re-index albums.
7. Add Alist kit and Aria2 kit to quickly download data from various cloud disks to the NAS.
8. I have tried to connect an SSD internally as a cache disk (DSM7.1 can be perfectly recognized as a built-in hard disk), but as soon as it is plugged in, some other disk will lose power for no reason. There is no solution at present. I don’t know if it is the power supply. Or a problem with the SATA expansion board.
9. The hard drive that was powered off before upgrading DSM7.1 caused a sudden increase in bad sectors was inexplicably good. There are currently only 7 bad sectors (surprise or surprise), so I bought another brand new Seagate hard drive. 1T mechanical hard drive.
Temporarily unresolved problems and pits! ! !
1. Video Station cannot play HEVC and ACC encoded audio and video uploaded by computer browser. I don’t know how to solve it if there is no whitewashing machine.
2. There is a problem that the thumbnail of the video cover uploaded by the computer in Synology Photos cannot be displayed normally. According to the tutorial of the great god, the patch is applied, and the video uploaded on the mobile phone can display the thumbnail of the video normally, which is very strange.
3. The problem of automatic hibernation. Although it is not turned off for 7X24 hours, it is also a problem that it cannot automatically hibernate.
4. If you are a freshly installed version of DSM7.1.0-42661, you will find that accessing the NAS through SMB on the LAN cannot be opened. That is because Synology does not enable SMB by default, and you need to install an additional SMB Service package.
