Former AMD executive Matt Poirier joins Intel as senior vice president of corporate development

Intel today announced the appointment of Matt Poirier as senior vice president of corporate development, effective May 30, 2022. Poirier has more than 20 years of management and financial and corporate development experience, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and integrations, and served as AMD’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development.

Prior to joining AMD, Poirier was senior vice president of corporate development and investor relations at Xilinx. Prior to that, he worked in technology investment banking for nearly a decade and was involved in the semiconductor industry. Prior to graduate school, Poirier held management positions in the U.S. Navy for more than six years. Poirier holds an MBA from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science from the US Naval Academy.
