Google search suffers global outage, three injured in electrical accident in data center

Pinwan News on August 9, according to Phoenix Network Technology, downtime tracking website Downdetector.com shows that users around the world are reporting Google search engine downtime problems.

More than 40,000 people in the U.S. reported being unable to access Google Search at around 21:20 ET on Monday (9:20 GMT on Tuesday), but that number has since declined. In addition to the U.S., users in the U.K., Australia, and Singapore also reported Google outages.

On Twitter, Google’s downtime was on the hot search for a time. Many users posted screenshots of the error message that Google prompted.

A Google spokesperson issued a statement saying: “We are informed that an electrical incident occurred today at Google’s data center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Three people were injured at the scene and are currently receiving medical treatment.
