According to a leaked internal data obtained by Business Insider, the median total salary of Google employees in 2022 will be $279,802, with software engineers earning a base salary of up to $718,000, making them the company’s highest-paid position.
In addition to base salaries, Google employees are paid options and bonuses. Software engineers could receive up to $1.5 million in equity by 2022, according to the data. Google’s top 10 highest-paying jobs, whether in engineering, business or sales, also have a minimum base salary of $300,000.
Compared with other technology giants, the median base salary of Google employees in 2022 is behind Meta ($296,000), but well above Salesforce ($199,000) and Adobe ($170,000).
