Gutenberg version 13.5 includes 12 enhancements and 15 bug fixes, including an improved featured image UX, a design tool that expands the article navigation link block, some solid accessibility fixes, and some nice quality of life improvements. Improved Use of Featured Images UX Featured images continue to play an important role on your site, and this release is designed to make it easier for you to take advantage of this highly influential content. A placeholder will now appear when you use a featured image in a cover block. This helps to clearly show the changes you’re making and set better expectations for what you’re customizing: Related to this, the option to use featured images has been moved under the Media Replacement menu.
