 Titanium Media App reported on May 9th that the Beijing Intellectual Property Court recently held the second instance of the dispute between "China Academic Journals (CD Edition)" Electronic Magazines Co., Ltd. CNKI's appeal was dismissed. In the first instance, the Beijing Internet Court held that CNKI’s infringement has a large scope of influence and the degree of subjective fault is obvious; Sufficient and appropriate amount. CNKI later refused to accept the judgment of the first-instance court and appealed to the Beijing Intellectual Property Court. One of CNKI’s grounds for appeal is that the compensation amount is too high.
