The Xiaomi Mijia App crashed again.

On the evening of June 16, many users reported that the devices in the Mijia App could not be controlled, involving light bulbs, sensors, gateways, routers, air conditioners and other devices. As of press time, there are still users who report that the Mijia App cannot provide services.

Mijia official Weibo issued a statement saying that due to network failures, the Mijia App and voice control experienced service exceptions on June 16, and services are being restored one after another. If the device is offline, etc., there is no need to re-bind and repeatedly uninstall and install the app.

Mijia App is Xiaomi’s smart hardware management platform, similar to Apple’s built-in “home” application in iOS. Through the Mijia App, users can complete the interaction and interconnection between mobile phones and smart hardware, that is, the Mijia App is the main control center of Xiaomi smart devices.

According to Xiaomi’s 2021 financial report, the monthly active users of Mijia App reached 63.9 million. As of December 31, 2021, the number of Xiaomi AIoT connected devices (excluding smartphones, tablets and laptops) has reached 434 million; there are five or more devices connected to the Xiaomi AIoT platform (excluding smartphones, tablets and laptops) Computer) users reached 8.8 million, a year-on-year increase of 40.4%.

It is worth noting that the Mijia App also experienced a malfunction in April this year. At that time, Mijia responded that due to the failure of the public network cloud network, related services such as Mijia App and voice control were abnormal. After emergency repairs, the services have been restored one after another.

As of press time, Mijia has not disclosed what caused its network problems. Under the Weibo account of Mijia’s official Weibo account, some users expressed dissatisfaction with the failure of the Mijia App for many times during the year.
