The graduation parade held by the Hong Kong Police College last Saturday (July 9) was the first to be conducted in Chinese style. The new Hong Kong Chief Executive, Li Jiachao, said when presiding over the review that the full use of Chinese-style footsteps reflects the Hong Kong Police Force’s solemn commitment to Chinese national identity and a sense of national belonging.
