I accidentally saw the new product “Van Gogh – The Starry Night” released by Lego in June in Xiaohongshu. As a painting amateur, it looked beautiful and bought it.
It was received almost ten days after the order was placed on the official website, and I thought it would not be shipped. After the arrival of the goods, I worked hard for two days in high spirits. After the freshness passed, I felt less motivated.
Just got the unboxing and found that there are a lot of packages, as well as a thick book, Van Gogh’s life, the background of the paintings, and the assembly explanation. When fighting, I feel that the packaging is reasonable, and the parts are easy to find. It is worthy of being a big manufacturer.
On the first day, I made a left base and little Van Gogh.
The next day, the right base was also put together. The design is very interesting, the left base is stacked from bottom to top, while the right is stacked from far to close. The whole landscape will have more dimensions and layers. Numerous houses and churches are the finishing touch.
It’s been a long time since I got to this step, and I haven’t been interested in fighting. It’s boring to assemble background boards and black frames. Not too technical content, just very repetitive work.
Packed with stars. And a little cloud over the mountains. The cloud shadows on the left and right are different, especially the right side is placed obliquely, which is an interesting design.
Finish! Add trees and clouds, and give Van Gogh a standing space to paint. The best part of this work is to design a three-dimensional landscape, and then make the villain Van Gogh seem to be painting.
This is the first time I’ve made Lego things, and it feels okay, the hand doesn’t hurt too much, and the color recognition won’t be very tiring. It is said that many domestic imitation toys do not fit well, and the assembly instructions also have color differences. I bought this purely out of interest in the beauty of the finished product, there are many other popular cars or buildings from Lego, but I should not buy it. Not so obsessed with the sense of accomplishment of assembling.
