Oldest male giant panda in captivity dies

An An, the oldest male captive giant panda, has died in Hong Kong at the age of 35 (equivalent to 105 human years). Ocean Park Hong Kong announced on Facebook that An An was euthanized due to his deteriorating health. An An came to Hong Kong in 1999, and Jia Jia, a female giant panda who accompanied him to Hong Kong, died in 2016 at the age of 38.
