order and chaos

A few years ago someone said that Chinese society would fall into anarchist chaos, which I thought was nonsense, but now I believe it, because China can achieve controlled chaos and be more “efficient”.

The shutdown of a city of 25 million people seems to be very orderly on the surface: everyone stays at home and obeys the unified leadership and command; but the inside is disordered: some people starve, some starve to death, and some commit suicide.

The Chinese are so accustomed to the superficial order that they forget the inner order, and are deeply immersed in logical confusion without knowing it. The superficial order is from top to bottom, and is forced and arbitrary; the inner order is from bottom to top and grows spontaneously.

Some people say that democracy is too chaotic, just like people who are accustomed to plantations see tropical rain forests and think it is too chaotic. Tropical rainforests are thriving because of “chaos”, and artificial forests will eventually be swallowed up by nature if they lose their strong maintenance.
