Prisms raises $4.3 million in seed funding

Prisms VR is a VR education platform in the United States that provides a spatial learning platform for K12 STEM education. The platform leverages the development of immersive virtual reality with front-line teachers and school district administrators, enabling students to perceive real-world environments and then use haptics to interact and visualize to build math fluency. Recently, it received a seed round of $4.3 million. This round of financing was led by a16z, with participation from WXR Fund, Oculus co-founder Nate Mitchell, Avalanche VC, and Anorak Ventures. This round of financing will be used to promote the application of VR education programs in the K-12 market. Prisms plans to expand to 65 school districts in 15 states in the United States this fall, providing VR education to 100,000 students.
