Duke Realty is a real estate investment trust service provider with three divisions, the first two of which include ownership and leasing of office and industrial real estate investments. The operations of its office and industrial properties, as well as its medical offices and retail properties, are collectively referred to as the leasing business. The third reporting segment includes the provision of various real estate services including property management, asset management, maintenance, leasing, development and construction management to third-party owners and joint ventures, collectively referred to as service operations. Recently announced the acquisition of Duke Real Estate (DRE.US) in a $26 billion all-stock transaction, including the assumption of debt, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022.
