Read Moses in the Plains

This time I read this collection of short stories, called “Moses on the Plain”, by Shuang Xuetao, and I read his other collection of short stories before, “The Aviator”. “The Aviator” was published earlier than “Moses on the Plain”. Based on the phenomenon that most writers, singers, and artists have “debut is the peak”, I read this book “Moses on the Plain” and found that there was no escape. out of this rule. For example, because of Zijin Chen, the author of the online drama “The Hidden Corner”, his previous “Long Night Difficulty” is much better than “Bad Kid”.

I chose “Moses on the Plains” because a new English book of his was reported in the Chinese version of the Chinese version of the New York Daily. The book is called “Yanfen Lane”, and the English name is “ROUGE STREET”. Famous place names have appeared many times in the author’s previous books, so I have this collection. It means a lot of cultural output.

The most impressive thing about this book is the two short stories at the beginning, “Moses on the Plain” and “Master”.

“Moses on the Plain” involves multiple characters, and the author treats each character as an individual and tells it from a first-person perspective. The writing method is very unique and the perspective is wider. Everyone’s personal background, psychological activities, and external environment can be described in detail when telling these stories. Proceed according to the time line. During the reading process, you can feel the psychological changes of each person more three-dimensionally, and you can really see the progress of some things from the perspective of God. Very interesting.

“Master” tells a story about playing chess, which is similar to the novelist Chess King’s short story “Chess King”. The difference is the background of the layoff wave in the Northeast region in the 1990s. Warehouses, prisons, prison guards, prisoners, monks, commissary, hanging (bet), the magic of the Northeast is vividly displayed.

The magic of the Northeast, or the magical Northeast, is the first impression many people have of the Northeast. The bold personality of the Northeasterners, the charm of the Northeastern personality with local characteristics, as well as the simple and rude language organization and behavior, from a certain point of view, it is more of a kind of unwillingness of the now abject Northeast to the once glorious period, the former republic. The eldest son, the capital of resources, and the capital of heavy industry, have declined rapidly in just 20 years, resulting in the inability of many people to change their views, thoughts, and behaviors for a while, resulting in a great polarization between ideals and reality. The Northeast people are collectively immersed in this. I noticed it, but after showing these phenomena in front of more people through modern technological means such as the Internet, Erren Zhuan, and short videos, after layers of fermentation and exaggerated catered performances, the entire Northeast became more and more magical.

This year is my eleventh year living in the Northeast, but from the bottom of my heart I still don’t feel that I fit into this environment very well. To the richness of Northeast culture, the richness of Northeast culture is inversely proportional to its income. Suddenly I thought of Betty’s self-introduction in the blog “I used to be young and liked to pretend to be literary. Now that I am sick, I only like money and code farmers.”

Northeast used to be the eldest son of the Republic, but it is possible that this eldest son has not grown up.
