SpaceX fires at least five employees who criticized CEO

An open letter targeting SpaceX CEO Elon Musk circulated on the company’s internal Microsoft Teams channel. The open letter called on executives to speak out and condemn Musk’s actions on Twitter. The letter writers noted that Musk’s behavior in the public domain was often distracting and embarrassing, especially in recent weeks. As CEO Musk is seen as the face of SpaceX, each of his tweets is a public statement from the company. The company’s policies No Asshole (No Asshole) and Zero Tolerance (zero tolerance) are clearly unequal in execution. The open letter calls on executives to clearly define and enforce policies. Reuters reported that SpaceX fired at least five employees linked to the letter.
