30-day trial period expiration solution
You can try SmartGit for free for 30 days. After 30 days, you can repeat the 30-day free trial process by deleting the configuration file. Different versions need to delete different files.
win + R
key combination to open the running window, enter %APPDATA%\syntevo\SmartGit\
and press Enter to enter the installation path of SmartGit and enter the version directory you are currently using. If it is an old version of SmartGit (such as version 17.2), delete the current settings.xml
file, and then restart SmartGit.
If settings.xml
file cannot be found, it means that it is a new version of SmartGit (such as version 21.2). At this time, the following two files need to be deleted:
license
and preferences.yml
, and restart SmartGit.
OPENSSH format is not supported when selecting a key
One day, I found that the SSH key generated by Git Bash could not be recognized by SmartGit, indicating that the PEM format is required, and the OPENSSH format is not supported. The strange thing is that the key generated by the same method before can be recognized. It is guessed that either the SmartGit version cannot support the OPENSSH format, or the Git Bash version causes the default generated key format to change.
