Before the start of the summer vacation, I discussed with my nephew, who just graduated from high school, to go hiking with him. Between Huangshan and Taishan, he chose Taishan.

After my vacation itinerary was set, other children joined in one after another, and it was finally confirmed that this “study tour group” included nephews, nieces, nephews, nieces, and sons. As a junior high school student, he was the youngest member.

Tarzan

But we’re not just going to Tarzan. Because everyone is in different places, my son and I are in Guangdong, and the other staff are in their hometown in Hunan. So everyone gathered in Changsha where I trained during the holidays. Young people check in and play in various places in Changsha, while I participate in my summer teacher training during the day, and take them to “beg for food” dinners with my friends at night.

Changsha Railway Station

After my training, we went to Mount Tai together. I bought a sleeper berth on an ordinary train, and I went from Changsha to Tai’an after sleeping for one night. I haven’t taken an ordinary train for more than ten years. When I went to Changsha Railway Station to take the train, the station hall was full of people on the floor. This and the high-speed railway station at least have seats in an orderly manner. It made me feel like I went back to 20 years ago. The visual sense of taking the train from Changsha to other places to go to school.

What makes me unacceptable is that the departure time of this train was delayed again and again, and finally it was delayed by 3 hours… I heard from the conductor that it is usually not late. This time it was due to the weather. The Hubei section encountered floods caused by rain.

We wobbled along the way and didn’t sleep very well in the sleeper, but we saw different scenery along the way with the children. We finally arrived in Tai’an smoothly. My son especially likes to take pictures of the beautiful scenery along the way with his black card camera, such as the afterglow of the setting sun and the sky full of morning glow.

Sunset along the way

After getting out of the train station, we took two online car-hailing cars to arrive at the hotel we reserved. After settling down, we went to have a delicious local lunch, then took a shower and went to sleep: Climb Mount Tai at night with good energy. But I’m not used to this anti-biological clock schedule, and I can’t sleep well. The highlight is climbing Mount Tai at night, and I need to write a new log to record the details of our climbing Mount Tai.

Mount Tai

The thing that tested me the most came. After returning from Taishan the next day, everyone was exhausted. I fell asleep for three or four hours and rushed to Tianjin alone in the afternoon. My doctoral supervisor came back to China from Europe. I had to meet this mentor who had a huge impact on my life. I saw my mentor whom I hadn’t seen for several years and his disciples who are all teachers in China. We chatted with each other during the dinner at night, and we were very happy. Over the years, everyone has changed a little bit, and there are some emotions. Only then did I know that I was the first Ph.D. under the guidance of my supervisor as the first supervisor. No wonder my “boss” is cute and cute, and my career development path is also the most wonderful.

Tianjin West Railway Station

After listening to a report from my instructor the next day, I hurried back to Tai’an because I was going to Wuhan with my children in the evening. We arrived in Wuhan after an overnight sleeper car. I have traveled up and down the city of Wuhan for so many years, but I have never been to the urban area of Wuhan. Even when I took nearly 30 Belgian friends to visit the Three Gorges Dam in 2014, I just changed trains at Wuhan Railway Station.

Wuhan East Lake

This time I went to Wuhan to experience the premature customs in the urban area of Wuhan, and then took the children to visit the East Lake. An East Lake that is 6 places bigger than Hangzhou West Lake, but much less famous. Even if we only visit the Luoyan Scenic Area in the East Lake, we think it has a good scenery and a very leisurely and slow pace. In the evening, I went to a campus of Wuhan University of Technology for a stroll, met with my juniors, and once again took the dolls to “beg for food”.

After a hasty visit to Wuhan, the next day we took the train to disperse and return to our respective homes. My son and nephew went back to Guangdong, and the others went back to their hometown in Hunan. My old arms and legs also need to go home and rest for a while.

It took more than 10 days to transfer down. The young people were very happy, and the relationship between cousins and cousins strengthened the relationship between relatives. Even I felt that the journey was a bit unforgettable.

When I was young, I also wanted to visit all over the country, but I couldn’t make the trip due to my lack of money. Later, I had the material basis to see the world, but I had no time due to busy work. Then there was time, but a few years ago I couldn’t go out because of the epidemic. Today, young people also have this idea, so let them read thousands of books and help them travel thousands of miles.
