TSMC’s Arizona plant will produce 4nm chips for Apple, Nvidia, AMD

TSMC’s factory in Arizona, which will start production in 2024, was previously planned to produce 5nm chips, but according to the latest reports, the chip’s manufacturing process has been upgraded to its most advanced 4nm. TSMC has come under pressure from U.S. customers. Apple hopes to source more components for iPhones and MacBooks from the United States, where contract factory Foxconn’s factory in Zhengzhou has stalled iPhone production due to the new crown epidemic blockade policy. Both AMD and Nvidia also rely on TSMC to make chips for them.
