Ubuntu Unity desktop resurrected

In 2017 Canonica announced that Ubuntu’s default desktop would be switching from Unity to GNOME. The last Unity update was Unity v7.5 for Ubuntu 17.04. Unity released v7.6 after six years. The new version fixes and improves a lot of features. It is not from Canonical, but from Rudra Saraswat , a 12-year-old Indian child. Saraswat is a seventh grader in Delhi and is an avid Linux supporter who is keen on open source. He started using Ubuntu in 2017 and created the Ubuntu Unity Remix project in 2020 and maintains it to this day. He is also the project lead for Ubuntu Web Remix and UbuntuEd Remix.
