Volvo Car announced on Friday an overhaul of its organizational structure and management to simplify the structure, clarify responsibilities, improve execution and foster closer collaboration between departments. The Swedish automaker, which is majority-owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, said CFO Bjorn Annwall will serve as chief commercial officer and deputy chief executive. Javier Varela, currently responsible for R&D, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain and quality, will serve as chief operating officer and deputy chief executive officer.
