I’ve always been very clear about my long-term path – I don’t want to go the technologist’s route, I prefer the business owner’s route.

Behind it is a set of standards and logic for my own view of the world:

  • The pure technocratic route is a dead end . The reason is that there is no problem with the technical experts themselves. As an individual, becoming a technical expert is also a predictable route and growth path. But the opposite of technologists is “No text comes first, no military comes second.” In any field, there can only be one technical expert left, and the second place will no longer attract the attention and popularity of the market. This makes everyone have to turn inward, put themselves first, and put others under their feet. But feng shui turns, no one can sit down in the first position all the time, so they must keep learning and working to ensure their status. No rest for life.
  • The line of business leaders is relatively more difficult, but also more diverse . Business is complex. Different people, scenarios, means, tools, etc. will create a new business form. Among these business forms, except for some of the winner-take-all situations, most markets can often accommodate The existence of the second and third places (generally speaking, products with network effects can only accommodate the head, but not the second). This allows everyone to do their own thing without invoking each other, serve their customers well, and get good returns.

Combining the above two, I finally chose the line of business leader and went on for a long time.

A foothold today is the practice of independent developers. Like I’ve always said to everyone – Indie developers are nothing but startup MVPs
