According to the indictment, the investigators found that 37-year-old Yin Yuancheng had been managing the Facebook groups “Diba Central Group Army” and “Diba Base Area” and other communities since 2016. He was banned from Facebook, so he applied for multiple Facebook accounts under more than 20 pseudonyms, and served as the highest authority administrator of the Diba Facebook Club.

The indictment shows that Yin settled in Hualien County after marrying Liu Hui from Shanxi, China in 2017. In August 2019, the two went to Jiangxi to train as a cyber army. After returning to Taiwan, they spread false information during the presidential election and the epidemic. They also forged fake identities such as “Ji Linfeng” to apply for an account on Facebook. The two spread fake news on the Internet during the epidemic from January to March 2020, interfering with Taiwan’s epidemic prevention policy.

The indictment shows that the various rumors released by Yin and Liu in the Diba Club include “just received secret information, this virus spread was actually leaked by a certain company”; Yin Yuancheng also acted as the club administrator The review released false information, such as “My uncle is a member of the Democratic Progressive Party. The husband and wife were arrested and sent to office in December 2020. Yin denied committing the crime, arguing that he was “joking”, saying that he did not pay attention to the articles that were approved by the press. The prosecution believes that the information of the associations managed by Yin is not all agreed to be released, but partly approved and partly rejected, showing the intention to spread false rumors. After the whole case entered the court, the two requested to plead guilty and negotiate for a lighter sentence. The court sentenced them to fixed-term imprisonment according to the negotiation procedure.

At the end of April this year, Sina Weibo forced the display of the IP address of the client, and the IP address of the “Diba Official Weibo” was displayed in Taiwan. After arousing questions from netizens, the IP address was changed to Hong Kong, Japan, Zhejiang and other places with technical tools.
