Ford CEO makes clear that layoffs will mainly involve internal combustion engine vehicles

We have skills that no longer apply, we have jobs that need to change.”  Farley is seeking to cut $3 billion in costs, mostly involving Ford's blue unit, which makes vehicles with internal combustion engines. Farley said he intends to turn Ford's blue unit into a "profit and cash engine for the entire company" to fund the expansion of the electric vehicle business.
