On September 3, local time, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) held a media briefing to report on the follow-up plan for the relaunch of a new generation of lunar rockets. At the briefing, the management team said that because the liquid hydrogen leak has not been resolved, the Artemis 1 lunar rocket will not launch until it is fully ready.

“We’re not going to launch until we think it’s right,” said NASA administrator Bill Nelson. He said today’s leak of liquid hydrogen was more serious than the previous one, and the technical team had done a lot of work. Attempts have failed to resolve the issue. So they need several weeks of data analysis and troubleshooting before launching again, so the management team will probably decide on the launch time early next week.
