According to the Titanium Media App on August 27, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an announcement on the 26th local time, stating that in order to implement the "Memorandum on Promoting Russia's Grain and Fertilizer Exports" signed by Russia and the United Nations last month, all parties still need to do a lot of work. The announcement said that despite the US and EU statements that sanctions against Russia do not apply to grain and fertilizers, there are still many obstacles in bank settlement, insurance and shipping due to the existence of sanctions against Russia. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, due to Western sanctions, 7 to 8 million tons of Russian fertilizers and raw materials, which are enough to produce food to feed 100 million people, are currently stranded at transfer stations alone. The Russian Foreign Ministry called on all parties concerned to take a serious and responsible attitude and fully implement the mutually binding Istanbul Agreement to ensure global food security.
