Tencent responded to Jiemian News that this update is based on relevant regulations, in order to prevent the risk of speculation in virtual currency transactions , to further standardize and rectify public accounts and small programs for speculation and secondary sales of digital collections .

It is reported that some public accounts have been banned for this reason . A public account named “ NFTea Digital Tea Ticket was blocked because “there are user complaints and after the platform has reviewed, there are business activities related to virtual currency transactions or secondary transactions of digital collections .

It is not the first time that WeChat has regulated digital collection activities . Prior to March 30 , WeChat had banned a number of public accounts of digital collections .

However, with the increasing popularity of the concept of digital collections , in addition to large Internet companies , small and medium-sized platforms are constantly trying to flood into this new track . In addition to innovation, digital collections have also begun to breed various chaos .

On June 17, actor Gu Tianle’s Weibo suddenly issued a statement to refute the rumor that it involved a digital collection. It is reported that a digital collection platform called Chainplay App used the image of Gu Tianle for false propaganda without authorization , and provided a secondary trading market for digital collections .

In addition to the long-exposed rush purchases and black market transactions , recent rumors about some small and medium-sized digital collection platforms “running away” and cutting leeks have also begun to appear .

Jiang Zhaosheng, a senior researcher of Ouke Cloud Chain who has been concerned about the field of digital collections for a long time , told Jiemian News : At present, the domestic supervision system in the field of digital collections has not yet been established, although a number of industry associations have jointly issued initiatives and statements on the development of the digital collections industry. But these have no legal effect and cannot effectively guide and manage the digital collection industry.

In this regard , Jiang Zhaosheng said : “On the one hand, it is recommended that the relevant competent authorities speed up the improvement of the supervision system, clarify the supervision ideas, formulate standards for the development of digital collections, clarify the rights, responsibilities and obligations of each participant, and jointly promote the healthy and orderly development of the industry; On the other hand, it is suggested that the relevant operators of digital collections should strengthen compliance and self-discipline, strengthen the awareness of risk prevention and control, and actively avoid risks by actively applying for compliance management qualifications, accelerating technological innovation, and improving external supervision mechanisms, and carry out various activities in compliance with laws and regulations. business.
