Young people in the UK are spending more time on TikTok than watching broadcast TV, according to a report by Ofcom on Wednesday. The report highlights a widening generation gap in media habits. In its annual survey of consumer trends, Ofcom found that 16- to 24-year-olds watch an average of 53 minutes a day of traditional broadcast TV, a third of the level 10 years ago. By comparison, people over 65 watch TV for nearly 6 hours a day.
