It took me a few days to finish reading “Zen’s Luggage” by Bill Porter, his second book I’ve read. Ever since I read The Heart Sutra Interpretation, I have become interested in Bill Potter, an old man whose books fit my taste very well. In “Zen’s Baggage”, the author travels half of China from Beijing to Hong Kong, from north to south, to search for the imprint of Zen Buddhism in China. There are not only the retrospect of the history of Zen Buddhism, but also the observation of the current state of Zen Buddhism in China.
